End-of-Year Dates

The end of the year is quickly approaching. It will soon be time for students to return their library books, class novels, and textbooks. Students are receiving overdue/fine notices weekly in their school email accounts, if they owe the library any books or fines. We encourage students to please take care of library obligations now, to avoid long lines at the end of the school year.

Here are some important dates to consider:

  • Tuesday, May 21 - All LIBRARY books are due.
  • Thursday, May 23 - To receive yearbooks on time, students must return all LIBRARY books and pay all fines by the end of ACE.
  • Thursday, May 30 - Seniors must clear all library and textbook obligations and return all textbooks by 3:00 PM, to participate in the graduation ceremony without any special clearance.
  • Thursday, June 6 - 9th – 11th grade students must return their textbooks by 1:00 to avoid having their locker assignment withheld for next year.
We hope this message helps everyone to feel prepared for the final month of school.

International Week

International Week is an annual celebration of diverse cultures around the world. On May 30th, students can present songs, dances, and cultural dress and on May 31st, students can host booths about their country and bring food. This is an excellent opportunity to earn volunteer hours and work with friends on a fun project! Sign up at bit.ly\IntlWeek2019

Moorpark College Class on SSHS Campus

Attention Juniors! Do you struggle in math? Do you want to get ahead in taking college classes? If you answered yes to either of these questions you might want to consider this opportunity:

Next year, in the fall semester, we will be offering MATH M03-Intermediate Algebra on our campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15pm-5:50pm taught by a college professor. This class is designed to help bridge the math gap between high school and college and will help you be more prepared for entering a transferable college level math.

We will also be offering GERM M01: Elementary German on Tuesday & Thursday 3:15pm - 5:50pm on campus. This class is available for any grade level.

For more information on either of these classes please see Ms. Thompson in counseling to sign up. Students must sign up before we leave for summer break
