Mock Trial

Mock Trial will continue the chocolate fundraiser throughout the remainder of the year. If you'd like to buy a milk, dark, almond, crisp, or caramel chocolate, find a mock trial student or see Mrs. Roth in room 307. Come support Santa Su's Mock Trial team as they prepare for the Empire competition in San Francisco at the end of October!

Counselor's Corner

The PSAT exam will be on Saturday, October 13 at 7:30 AM
This exam gives students an opportunity to experience and prepare for the SAT exam which is required for college entrance. By taking this test in your junior year, you have the opportunity to qualify for the very prestigious National Merit Scholarship (NMSQT) program. However, it is also good practice for under classmen, especially sophomores, that would like to prepare early for the SAT exam and NMSQT.

The test will be sold in the Student Store starting on September 24th through October 8th or until sold out. Please bring $25.00 cash or check to the Student Store and receive your official PSAT study guide. Tests may also be purchased through the Student Store Webstore.

College Financial Aid (12th grade only)
A Cal Grant is money for college you don't have to pay back. California public high schools are required to submit a Cal Grant high school Grade Point Average (GPA) for all graduating seniors, unless the student or parent has opted out of the submission process, no later than October 1. Students who do not opt out will have their GPA submitted to the Commission to be considered for a Cal Grant award. If you do not want your school to report a GPA for a possible Cal Grant, please complete this form and return it to your high school counselor.
