Yvonne Cherbak-Boyd

Yvonne Cherbak-Boyd, former art teacher at SSHS, recently lost her home in the Woolsey fire. We are going to have a fund-raiser to provide support and care for her during this difficult time. The details are included in the flyer attached to this message.

Choir Concert

SSHS Vocal Music presents: Revolutionary in the PAC

Dear students and Parents,
Due to the unfortunate events that occurred in Ventura County, Santa Susana’s Choir Department has rescheduled the date of the Revolutionary Concert to Thursday night, January 10th at 7pm. If you already bought tickets to this show your seats are being held for the new date.  If you cannot attend on January 10th, please contact Jennifer Lang at Jennifer.Lang@simivalleyusd.org or via telephone at 805-520-6800 x 3739 to arrange for a refund or to donate your tickets back to the choir program.

Musical Theatre Presents

The Drowsy Chaperone, A Musical Within a Comedy, is a parody of musical comedies of the 1920s. You will be quickly absorbed into this comedic, fun-filled, show-within-a-show concept performance and guaranteed to leave with a smile on your face.

The Fall Ball will be at The Vineyards in Simi Valley. Postponed to January 11, 6:00 PM .

A permission slip is needed and can be obtained in the student store.

Need some extra help? Struggling in a difficult class? Santa Susana students will be tutoring other students for free after school in all subjects including AP! Get the help you deserve!

Emergency SSHS PTSA Association Meeting
SSHS PTSA will be holding an Emergency Association Meeting on Wednesday, November 28 at 5:00 PM in the MUR. The two agenda items will be Discussion of Adjustments to the 2018-2019 budget and the Election of the Nominating Committee. The Nominating Committee positions are open to all current SSHS PTSA members. This committee will be involved in preparing a slate for next year's SSHS PTSA Board Officer Positions. Please see attached flyer (in Documents folder below) for pertinent information.

Simi Valley Volunteer Fair

The City of Simi Valley, Simi Valley Community Council, Community Coalition United and Public Library will host the City’s 3rd Annual Volunteer Fair “Building Compassion Through Volunteering” event from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., on Thursday, November 29th at the Simi Valley Public Library. 

This will be an excellent event for students to learn about a number of non-profit organizations and the volunteer opportunities that they have available.
