"World's Finest" Chocolates Fundraiser Mock Trial is now selling "World's Finest" Chocolates to help support our team that is competing in the World Championship in New York the week before Thanksgiving.  Last year we won second place, and we are excited to compete again this year.  Each chocolate bar is $1 each and 50% of the proceeds go directly to the Mock Trial club to help pay for flights, hotels, and all necessary items while we are there.  There are five different kinds of chocolate bars: milk chocolate with caramel, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, milk chocolate with almond, and milk chocolate crisp.  If you're interested in buying these chocolates, please stop by room 307 after school to buy a bar from Mrs. Roth.
Simi Valley Education Foundation's Gala Opportunity Drawing  To Our Wonderful Parents,

As you may be aware, every year the Simi Valley Education Foundation funds grants for our teachers here at our school. This is all made possible due to the fundraising the Foundation does throughout the year.

This year, they are having an opportunity drawing at our school for (2) tickets to attend their 13th Annual Celebration of Education Gala, which will be held at the Reagan Library next March 24, 2018. This is a $250 value - an evening out that includes, dinner, dancing, auctions and live student performances.

Anyone can buy a $10 opportunity ticket on our website - parents, teachers, grandparents, friends and co-workers too! The way to enter this drawing is to visit http://www.svef.org/gala-drawing . You can purchase as many tickets as you'd like.
All proceeds from these entries will come back to our school!

So not only are you helping to raise more money for our students here at our school, but each entry is an opportunity to attend the gala next year!

It's a "win-win" opportunity really!

Warmest regards,
Mike James
President 2017-2018

A Cal Grant is money for college you don't have to pay back. California public high schools are required to submit a Cal Grant high school Grade Point Average (GPA) for all graduating seniors, unless the student or parent has opted out of the submission process, no later than October 1. Additionally, juniors will be deemed a Cal Grant applicant unless the pupil is opted out prior to the high school’s submission of GPAs to the Commission. Students who do not opt out will have their GPA submitted to the Commission to be considered for a Cal Grant award. If you do not want your school to report a GPA for a possible Cal Grant, please complete this form and return it to your high school counselor.
