Performing Arts Updates

Moorpark College @ Santa Su

Moorpark College will be offering a college course on our campus. If you are interested in this course, please see your counselor immediately. The class, if we have enough students, will begin the week of September 11.

Intro to Mass Communications, a 3-unit, UC- and CSU- transferable General Education survey course of the media of mass communication

In this 12-week  survey course of the media of mass communication, you’ll learn about the ethics, the principles and the issues in the mass communication media today.  You’ll learn to interpret the thousands of media messages we see and hear every day through all of the many types of media we consume and interact with, including social media, news, entertainment, sports and advertising media as well. This course also helps you learn how to examine sources of information, and discern the difference between real news,  real fake news, and simply unfavorable news.  The course includes lecture, with substantial student interaction during in-class and online discussions.

Make-up Pictures  O'Connor Bros., our school's photographer, will be on campus on Friday, September 1 for make-up pictures.
R.O.P. Classes R.O.P. classes will begin on September 5th unless otherwise notified.

College Financial Aid
(11th and 12th grades only)
A Cal Grant is money for college you don't have to pay back. California public high schools are required to submit a Cal Grant high school Grade Point Average (GPA) for all graduating seniors, unless the student or parent has opted out of the submission process, no later than October 1. Additionally, juniors will be deemed a Cal Grant applicant unless the pupil is opted out prior to the high school’s submission of GPAs to the Commission. Students who do not opt out will have their GPA submitted to the Commission to be considered for a Cal Grant award. If you do not want your school to report a GPA for a possible Cal Grant, please complete this form and return it to your high school counselor.
